Homeless people in King's Garden
June 13th 2009
The sun was shining and the whether was nice Saturday June 13th when the annual Brugernes Bazar (Users’ Bazaar) took place in King’s Garden in Odense, Denmark.
The event is an initiative where all the NGOs within the field of homelessness are present, and they spent a day talking to each other and the people passing though King’s Garden. Many government officers from the Ministry of the Interior and Social Affairs were also present during the day and stopped by many of the stands for a chat and information.
Welcome HomeLess was also present, and three of the sculptures of homeless people were exhibited in the park. Many by-passers admired all the sculptures, and many wanted their picture taken with one of sculptures. Especially our front sculpture Less was popular.
This was the first time a few of the Welcome HomeLess sculptures were exhibited – even though it was only for a day – and the attention the sculptures got was amazing. We are definitely looking forward to 2010 when the exhibition will be launched.
