The valued help so far..

In the early stages of Welcome HomeLess, the project got some valuable support from SAS, Wonderful Copenhagen and the adverticing company TBWA\.

The first time the project Welcome HomeLess was presented was at the annual FEANTSA (the European Federation of National Organisations Working with the Homeless) conference in Cardiff, Wales in November 2008.

Two employees from projekt UDENFOR and the sculptor Jens Galschiøt travelled to Cardiff and brought the very first sculpture with them, in order to present the pan-European touring exhibition to the member organisations of FEANTSA.

In order to bring ‘Less’ – the front sculpture of Welcome HomeLess – all the way to Wales, we got  lot of sponsoring in different ways.

TBWA\

The adverticing company TBWA\ sponsored the different material we brought along for the member organisations. Some of the creative employees spent some time creating flyers, leaflets, postcards  and posters – which all informed and portrayed the idea and vision behind Welcome HomeLess.

SAS

The Airline company sponsered four tickets on a first-class flight to London from Copenhagen and back. It was four seats because in order for us to bring ‘Less’ with us, we needed the homeless to travel inside the plane with ud.
SAS was happy to fly a ‘homeless man’ across the North sea and back, and we got a lot of possitive attention out of it.

Wonderful Copenhagen

Wonderful Copenhagen is the official convention, event and visitors bureau of the Greater Copenhagen area. They thought the idea of human size bronze sculptures of homeless people exhibited around Europe to be a really good idea, and decided to sponsor the rest of the journey from London to Cardiff in Wales and back again. The amount of money sponsored from Wonderful Copenhagen made sure that we got ‘Less’ safely to the conference.
